The Governing Board

Functions and Powers

The Governing Board is the highest policy making body of DarTU onto which the governance, control and administration of the institution are vested. Among other things, the Governing Board is responsible for ensuring that the institution is (a) sustainable academically and financially, (b) that it is a component part of the undertakings of the ELCT-ECD and the ELCT in general, and (c) that ELCT-ECD and the institution are obliged to complement each other and to participate in relevant activities in cooperation and partnership.

  • Rt. Lady Justice Rehema Kerefu Sameji, Judge of Court of Appeal
  • Prof. Ulingeta Mbamba, Dean, School of Business and Management, University of Dar es Salaam
  • Rev. Chediel Lwiza, Assistant to the Bishop ELCT-ECD
  • Prof. Emmanuel Mjema, Rector, College of Business Education
  • Dr. Ibrahim Mwangalaba, Managing Director, Maendeleo Bank PLC
  • Mr. Nathan Mnyawami, Certified Public Private Partnership Specialist and Director of Planning and Investment, TPDC
  • Dr. Amos Odea Mwakilasa, Health Consultant

DarTU Academic Committee (DAC)

Functions and  Power

DarTU Academic Committee is the highest academic body of the institution, which is responsible for the academic control and general regulation of instruction, education, research and consultancy programmes.
